The Sea Harrier Preservation Project is a non-profit organisation dedicated to securing and conserving Sea Harrier aircraft to ensure they remain protected and accessible for public benefit. Our immediate focus is the responsible acquisition and stabilisation of a historically significant Sea Harrier airframe currently at risk from prolonged outdoor storage.
Our aim is not to create a traditional museum display, but to preserve these aircraft in a way that allows meaningful and informed public engagement. We believe Sea Harrier heritage should be experienced up close, with interpretation grounded in technical authenticity and real operational understanding.
The project is led by former Royal Navy Sea Harrier engineers who bring first-hand knowledge of the aircraft’s systems, maintenance and operational context. This expertise ensures that conservation work is undertaken responsibly, with a focus on preservation rather than cosmetic restoration.
Through careful documentation, structured public access and educational interpretation, we seek to safeguard both the physical aircraft and the specialist engineering knowledge associated with it for future generations.

The archive exists to organise and catalogue historical material relating to the aircraft’s service, engineering, and operational life. It is being built carefully and expanded over time, with a focus on accuracy and clear referencing.
