About The Company

Is The Sea Harrier Preservation Project a profit making company?

The Sea Harrier Preservation Project is a Community Interest Company (CIC) with a strict no-dividend policy and legally binding asset locks in place. As outlined in our Articles of Association, 100% of all profits are reinvested directly into the organisation to support our mission.

In addition, all SHPP employees are paid in line with national averages, ensuring fair and sustainable employment while maintaining our commitment to public benefit over private gain.

What are the companies profits spent on?

All of the company’s profits are reinvested into our mission.
These funds allow us to restore and preserve Sea Harrier aircraft, ensuring they remain accessible to the public for generations to come.

In addition, we’re investing in the STEM Academy arm of the Sea Harrier Preservation Project, using these profits to inspire and educate students aged 11 to 18 — empowering the next generation of engineers, scientists, and innovators.

Do the owners of the company get any Dividends

As outlined in our Articles of Association, no director — now or in the future — will ever receive dividends.
This project is entirely dedicated to preserving these historic aircraft, sharing their legacy with the public, and inspiring future generations through our STEM education platform.

The Project

Will the aircraft be made available to the public?

The heart of this project is preservation — not just of the Sea Harrier, but of each aircraft’s individual story.
Our long-term goal is to create a dedicated environment that functions as a living heritage centre, where history, technology, and storytelling come together.

In the short term, we’re opening our doors through monthly open days and weekend events, giving the public a chance to see the aircraft up close, learn about their restoration, and experience the project in progress.

Can’t make an open day? No problem — just drop us an email and we’ll be happy to arrange a private visit.

Can people volunteer and help out with the project?

This is a true community project — and there’s always something happening!
From restoring and preserving the aircraft to organising merchandise, marketing, promotions, and open days, our team is constantly busy bringing the Sea Harrier story to life.

We’re always looking for passionate people to get involved and help us share that story. Whether you can spare the occasional day or want to participate more regularly, we’d love to hear from you.

Will the Sea Harriers ever fly again?

Our mission is simple: to preserve and share these incredible aircraft with the public.
While we’re aware of companies aiming to return Sea Harriers to the skies — and we’d absolutely love to see them fly again — that’s not our objective, for many practical and historical reasons.

Instead, our focus is on ground-based preservation, education, and public engagement. We want to ensure these aircraft, and the stories behind them, are accessible to all — now and for generations to come

Sponsorship

How can I sponsor one of the Sea Harrier aircraft?

You can sponsor an aircraft as an individual, business, or organisation. Sponsorships help fund critical restoration, maintenance, and public engagement work. To get started, simply contact us, and we’ll guide you through the available sponsorship tiers and opportunities.

Can I sponsor a specific aircraft?

Yes — sponsors can choose to support a specific Sea Harrier, subject to availability and the level of commitment. We’re happy to discuss which aircraft are available for direct sponsorship.

Can businesses sponsor and use this as part of their CSR or marketing strategy?

Absolutely. Partnering with SHPP is a powerful way to align your brand with heritage, education, and innovation. We’re happy to tailor sponsorship packages to fit CSR goals, marketing campaigns, or employee engagement initiatives.

Media and Filming Use?

Can I film or photograph the aircraft for a documentary, TV segment, or social media content?

Yes, we welcome media interest — but all filming or photography must be arranged in advance. Please contact us with details about your project, intended use, and preferred dates. We’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Is there a fee for filming or media access?

For commercial or professional productions, a location fee may apply depending on the scope of the project. Non-profit, educational, or press-related coverage may be exempt, but approval is still required.

Can influencers or content creators visit and film?

Absolutely — we’re happy to collaborate with content creators who align with our values. Please get in touch to discuss your ideas and ensure we can support your shoot safely and respectfully.
