Join Us in Restoring and Preserving an Aviation Icon

ZD581 first flew in 1985 as a Sea Harrier FRS1 before being converted to a Sea Harrier FA2. After retiring in 2006, it has been stored outdoors in parts. Currently, ZD581 is missing an ejection seat and engine, though these can be sourced later. Following its retirement, the aircraft was vandalized and has only undergone minimal restoration work. It remains incomplete, with parts missing and in need of a full restoration and repainting.

This will be a multi-year project, but once restored, ZD581 will be transformed into an interactive experience using augmented reality to deliver a never-before-seen, immersive experience. We need your support to bring this aircraft back to life and inspire future generations to explore careers in both the military and aviation.
