Sea Harrier Archives

The Sea Harrier Archives is a growing reference resource dedicated to documenting the aircraft, people, and engineering history behind the Royal Navy’s Sea Harrier.

The archive brings together technical information, aircraft histories, photographs, and research material relating to both the Sea Harrier FRS1 and Sea Harrier FA2 fleets. Its purpose is to preserve accurate records of the aircraft and the knowledge associated with their operation, maintenance, and development.

Much of the specialist knowledge surrounding the Sea Harrier exists within the memories and records of the engineers, pilots, and support crews who worked with the aircraft during its service life. As time passes, there is a real risk that this information may be lost. The Sea Harrier Archives aims to capture and organise this knowledge so that it remains accessible for researchers, historians, restorers, and future generations.

The archive will continue to grow over time as new material is documented and shared. Contributions, corrections, and additional information from those with first-hand experience of the aircraft are always welcome.

Access to the Archive

The Sea Harrier Archives is an ongoing research project and much of the material is currently being organised and verified. For this reason the majority of the archive is not yet publicly accessible.

Information contained within the archive will, over time, be made available to the public. In the meantime, access to specific material may be granted upon request for research or historical purposes.
